Packages, Nucs, Hives, Queens must be paid for in advance and $ is
non-refundable.
The only way that I can held your order is payment in full.
I have to pay for slots from other companies so they can in turn hold their
slots for you. I have to place orders to queen breeders and they usually fill
up for the next year usually before 2008 goes into 2009.
Some suppliers were filled for 2009 in September of 2008.
If Beekeepers place an order for equipment by phone etc. and do not pay
for it I can not hold that order in the line up without your payment.

Just today 12/01/08 nearly a full month early, a first, I have started taking
package bee orders.
Call soon as I might only have slots for 1,000 packages in 2009!

Package Bees are first in the line up each spring. All over the USA
packages sell out very fast!
If you want packages in April each year you need to place your orders
early! Any Beekeeper that is up with beekeeping practices know it is best
to order as early as possible.
When I had to stop orders for packages that is when I started getting
requests for 10 to 12 packages.
My supplier and I might sell out in a month or two we just do not know
right now. With only about a 1000 possible packages available for
spring 2009 that is not much for several states of beekeepers.
If any beekeeper is interested get with me early!
Starting a package in April gives the beekeeper plenty of time to get a hive
large enough for the major nectar flows that start in late June and July in
this part of OH.
My suggestion for anyone getting a package is to feed it.
I can help anyone with a feeder too when they come for their package.

Our nucs have many advantages over packaged bees.
All bees in our nucs are taken from colonies inspected by a qualified
state or county bee inspector.
Included are frames of honeybee combs, in most cases already drawn.
Frames start out with live baby bees in various stages of development.
Frames have nurse and field bees on them when placed into the nuc..
Frames will have honey or other sweetener in them to help each nuc.
At least 2 shakes of additional live bees go into a nuc at time of set-up.
A nuc has a queen included in with the bees,
(unless otherwise specified)
Beekeepers can do what is suggested below when getting the nuc, We
can help you get you hive parts into you own equipment
saving you some steps when you get home or we can hive your nuc in
a cardboard nuc box described below. This is a completely portable
nuc box and is another way to get your hive home. This box has
additional uses after placing the frame of bees inside. All will be ready
when you arrive home (see FAQ'S).
This beehive is in a miniature form and with proper use this small hive
can give you a real jump-start to an earlier honey crop. An advantage of
a nuc over package bees is that you have an accepted, laying queen in
the nuc. (Unless queen is specified to be separate). With a package
you must wait for the queen to be accepted then 21 days for her eggs to
develop for the first wave of bees over what came. Therefore a nuc has
a lead in development of about one month.
Price per nucs depends on what size you want.
All frames that make up a nuc are $30.00 per frame
It is better to have at least a #3 frame nuc.
Fames of Honey, Brood or any combination is still $30.00 ea.
Orders for nucs require that the beekeeper bring
in a replacement wooden frame with wired bees
wax foundation Installed in each frame so it is
ready to be used.
If a beekeeper orders a #4 frame nuc he or she
brings in #4 frames with foundation installed for
the supplier.
I can suggest some beekeepers that can build to order
frames and install wired pure bee wax foundation for
beekeepers that need this service near Lima, OH.
Persons can order this done by a company for you to trade.
Beekeepers that have ordered nucs or hives will be called if I
when you can come for their orders.
Getting bees in the spring anytime is good in most near and around Ohio
as our main nectar flow does not start till July.
Full Sized Honeybee Hives of Varing Sizes can be Arranged
for purchase for Honey Production and Pollenation needs -
Queens so for this year are assorted Italian, Minnesota Hygienic,
Cordovan and some Carniolans when they can be found.
Queens coming into OH are not available until sometime in April and
beyond. Queen production from OH does not get going tell late May
and June due to OH weather.
Beekeepers need to pay in full at time of any order and that all orders
are for pick up only!
